A #dimsesprutte is an octopus, who fits right into your pocket and can be calming to walk around with. Especially people with autism will find it calming (it’s been tested) and according to #kattenderhedkompromiset they are wonderful cat toys.
– Less than 1 skein of 8/4 cotton yarn (50g/170m)
– A bit of black for the eyes
– 2,5mm crochet hook
– Embroidery needle
– Fiber fill

mr = Magic ring
sl= Slip Stitch
ch = Chain
sc = Single crochet
inc = Increase (2in1)
dec = Decrease (2>1)
*-* = Repeat between this
(-) = Number of stitches at the end of each round
You will be working in spiral rounds
Rnd 1: MR with 5 sc (5)
Rnd 2: Inc x5 (10)
Rnd 3: *1sc, inc* (15)
Rnd 4: *2sc, inc* (20)
Rnd 5: *3sc, inc* (25)
Rnd 6: 1sc in each (25)
Rnd 7: *4sc, inc* (30)
Rnd 8-12: 1sc in each (30)
Rnd 13: *dec, 4sc* (25)
Rnd 14: 1sc in each (25)
Rnd 15: *3sc, dec* (20)
Rnd 16: 3 sc, dec, 2sc, dec, 3sc, dec, 2sc, dec, 2sc (16)
Rnd 17: This is where the arms begins. You make the arm this way:
Chain 35 (last chain is the turning chain), 1sc in 2nd chain from hook, 2sc in the next st, 3sc in the last 32 st.
Now you will back at the body.
Make *2sc, 1 arm*, until you have 8 arms in total.
Sc and sl at the end of the round. Fasten off and weave in yarn invisibly.
Rnd 1: MR with 4sc (4)
Rnd 2: Inc x4 (8)
Rnd 3: *1sc, inc* (12)
Rnd 4: *2sc, inc* (16)
Finish with sl in first sc, cut yarn with tail long enough to sew the parts together.
Fill dimsesprutten with fiber fill, embroid eyes and sew on the bottom.
You are now finished with your #dimsesprutte!
